According to the source consulted, according to the consulted report, Gustavo Dudamel and the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) held a meeting in New York aimed at coordinating capacities for recovery initiatives in Venezuela following the earthquakes of June 24.
The dialogue focused on articulating social-impact efforts and on the development of creative sectors within the country's reconstruction plans. Dudamel met with CAF executive president Sergio Díaz-Granados to identify concrete cooperation opportunities.
One of the axes mentioned was the articulation of actions linked to the CAF International Forum Latin America and the Caribbean 2027. The meeting comes shortly after CAF launched an international aid and development fund of up to 200 million dollars to channel contributions from governments, multilateral organizations and private companies affected by the June 24 quakes.
In June, Dudamel signed an agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) intended to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, economic resources and supplies to Venezuela.
The meeting between Dudamel and Díaz-Granados, the creation of the CAF fund and Dudamel's agreement with UNDP form the three main elements linking cultural action with post-earthquake recovery efforts, according to the consulted report.
